Refund and Returns Policy

At VintaBid, we are committed to providing a smooth and transparent experience for both buyers and sellers.

Because VintaBid is a marketplace for independent sellers (vendors), each seller sets their own return, exchange, and refund policies.

Please read the following carefully before bidding or purchasing:


1. Vendor Return Policies

  • Return, refund, and exchange policies are determined individually by each seller (vendor) on VintaBid.

  • Before placing a bid or purchasing an item, you should carefully review the seller’s return policy, which will be displayed in the auction listing (if provided).

  • Some vendors may accept returns; others may sell on a final sale or no returns basis, especially for vintage and second-hand items.


2. If There’s a Problem With Your Order

If your item:

  • Is not as described (for example, wrong item, undisclosed major flaws, incorrect size),

  • Is significantly different from the listing description, or

  • Does not arrive at all,

you should first contact the seller directly through the VintaBid messaging system to try and resolve the issue.

Most problems can be quickly and easily resolved with direct communication.


3. VintaBid Assistance

If you are unable to resolve an issue directly with the seller, you may contact VintaBid Support for assistance.

While VintaBid is not the direct seller, we are committed to promoting fair practices and may assist by:

  • Facilitating communication between buyer and seller,

  • Reviewing evidence (such as item photos and listing details),

  • Advising on next steps.

Please note that VintaBid cannot enforce refunds or returns unless clearly outlined in the seller’s stated policy.


4. Buyer Responsibilities

  • Always read the full item description and seller return policy before bidding.

  • Review item photos carefully (measurements, condition notes, etc.).

  • Communicate respectfully with sellers if a problem arises.

  • Follow up within the timeframe indicated in the seller’s return policy (if any).


5. Important Notes About Vintage and Second-Hand Items

  • Vintage and second-hand items often show signs of wear, fading, or minor imperfections.

  • These characteristics are part of the nature of vintage fashion and are typically not valid reasons for a return unless the item was misrepresented.

  • Buyers are encouraged to review item condition notes and photos carefully before bidding.


6. Final Sales

If a seller specifies “No Returns” or “Final Sale” in the listing, all sales are considered final, and returns/refunds are generally not available unless:

  • The item is not received, or

  • The item is significantly different from the description provided.
